Rev. Ghukhuli Z Milakovich

Rev. Ghukhuli (Akhuli) Z. Milakovich is an ordained Chaplain, theological educator, and compassionate caregiver whose life and ministry are deeply rooted in faith, resilience, and dedicated service. She holds a Master of Theology (Th.M.) from Gurukul Lutheran Theological College and Research Institute, a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) from Eastern Theological College, and a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) from Union Biblical Seminary. She has also completed Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at AdventHealth University, equipping her for professional chaplaincy and pastoral care.

Prior to relocating to the United States, Rev. Milakovich served as a faculty member in the Old Testament Department at Trinity Theological College, where she contributed significantly to the academic and spiritual formation of students. She currently serves as a Chaplain with VITAS Healthcare, offering spiritual care, grief support, and a compassionate presence to patients and their families during life’s most sacred and transitional moments.

Her life journey is marked by remarkable courage and faith. As a survivor of a severe fire accident and kidney failure, she later received a life-saving kidney transplant through the selfless generosity of her sister, Akali. These experiences have profoundly shaped her theological understanding of God’s faithfulness and grace, further deepening her commitment to ministry.

A source of profound joy and inspiration in her life is her niece, Alashi, a child with Down syndrome. Through this relationship, Rev. Milakovich has gained a deeper appreciation for unconditional love, the inherent dignity of every individual, and a renewed calling to advocate for inclusion and compassionate care.

Rev. Milakovich is also a founding member of a foundation dedicated to supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Through this initiative, she actively contributes toward building a more inclusive, understanding, and compassionate society.

Her life and ministry reflect a steadfast commitment to serving God by loving others, uplifting the vulnerable, and bringing hope and healing wherever she is called.
